Dressing Your Body

The Diamond figure can benefit by wearing this flattering outfit. The loose flow of the top provides enough room for the wide abdomen and makes it appear as part of the piece. The ruffled sleeves does well to conceal sloped shoulders. Wider jeans perfectly hide bow legs and knock knees.

My Story

Hi, I’m Natalie,

I’m 22 years old and married to the best man ever, have a beautiful 2 year old daughter and live in Utah. I’m not one of those girls who have always known how to dress myself and let alone others and I certainly never knew what the trends where and I really didn’t care. I knew I wanted to look good and feel good and I had pretty good taste.  In high school I had a great self-esteem. I loved my body and felt attractive most of the time, it was a good feeling.  I got married at age 19 and we got pregnant 2 months later, which was not in our plan! I started doubting my choice to get married, I feared for what my future may hold and I hated my present. I had horrible morning sickness and I hated being pregnant. I cried myself to sleep most nights. When my daughter came things had starting looking better, except I was 40 lbs heavier, caring for a baby, lost to the outside world and had to deal with body image issues. I didn’t feel attractive and the love for my body/self as I once had.

My daughter ended up being my inspiration and my husband gave me the freedom to explore my possibilities. Fitness entered my world as never before…I was adamant on exercise and nutrition and I begun to lose weight. I even took a fitness trainer certification course. At this time I also was on a journey to discover my purpose…what inspires me and how can I bring value to the world. I learned of a fashion certification process and I was inspired to complete it! I was introduced to some coaching programs and my life changed…I was a girl who was arguing with reality; that my body shouldn’t be triangular shaped, my hips and thighs shouldn’t be so wide, my butt shouldn’t be flat, blah, blah, blah. And I was threatened by any girl I considered more attractive than me.  It wasn’t until I was able to allow other women to be beautiful and sexy before I could allow it of myself. It was like looking at me for the first time and loving, appreciating and respecting what I saw.

Now, I’m inspired to assist women in the process of self-fulfillment. My focus is to use fashion, fitness and self-esteem/purpose coaching to direct women in the direction they want to go, where ever that may be. Women of all shapes, sizes, colors, feelings, goals, lifestyles etc. can have feelings of wanting more or less of something’s, whether that be more money, more of the right clothes, more time for family or themselves, more sexy, less weight, less self loathing or less house cleaning. My goal is to find out what they want, what inspires them and assist them in getting whatever that is. Sure, clothes are just clothes in the end, to protect our bodies and provide warmth…and no matter how much we hate to admit it they send a message to the world about who we are; is it the message you want to send? If you value your image and have a message to give then let’s focus on fashion.  I believe bodies are perfect the way they are and we need to love and respect them how they are and how they aren’t, but if you want more energy, more sexy, and more physical fun then let’s focus on fitness. You can stay the way you are in your thinking about your body and your life, you can even stay in exactly the same circumstances in your life whether powerful or not…nothing is wrong with that!!! But, if you do want more power, more than you are or aren’t blessed with, then let’s do some coaching. If you want it all, then let’s do it all! Now you know about me, what about you?

Dressing Your Body

This fun and classy outfit is flattering for inverted triangle figures: it visually slims the shoulders, the color and shape of the cropped pants adds volume in the hips balancing the body.  Other body types this outfit works for is balanced body types, hourglass (note: I would go with the darker color pants to slim the hips), and tubular body types.

Body Variations This Outfit Conceals

- A short/wide neck; the bare chest visually lengthens the neck.

- Long arms; the bracelets break the long line of the arm causing it to appear smaller.

- Long legs; the cropped pants break the line of the legs causing them to appear shorter; the shoes help create the same effect.

Dressing Your Body

This outfit perfectly disguises a wide waist and a fuller abdomen. Compliments a rectangle figure. It also balances a triangular figure.

This outfit shows the world how fun and down-to-earth you are! Add your own personal flair and remember you can create this type of look at any price.
